On 2nd March 2014, “Financial Student 2014” Competition hold by the faculty of Finance and Banking, VNU – UEB officially wasvery interesting and challenging with the second round of doing business.
All of 12 teams started to make income from the initial fund of 200,000 VND which was given by organizing committee. In early morning, all team waspresent. And then, they prepared furniture and tools together before groupingin the VNU campus. The organizing committeegave the fund of 200,000VND for each teams to do their business under the rules of this game. They quickly performed their business plan in the time of 10 hours (from 8 a.m to 6 p.m). There were 2 supervisors coming along with to oversee how each team did the business in order to avoid cheating and assuredthe fairness.
In spite of a little drizzle rain, the weather could not reduce the eventful atmosphere of the competition. Every team chose for them a place which they felt that it was the most suitable and had the best advantage. The most popular place chosen by most teams was inside VNU campus which was from E4 building of UEB to ULIS dorm’s gate. Besides, t a few teams chose other places such as HoanKiem Lake area, My Dinh bus station, etc, to carry out their business.
The competitiveness, PR or marketing lessons applied by all teams in this day created lots of liveliness for the street. With many different advertising strategies, each team tried to sell their products to get highest income. Many teams was in the situation of “Sold Out” and gave the final result to the committee before time was over. Almost teams had the awareness of keeping environment clean and avoiding the cheat. The highest team was 3 million VND, but the lowest one was 15,000 VND.

There was always a gap between academic knowledge and real experience so that “Financial Student 2014” Competition was hold with the hope of bringing attending students many soft skills which can be used in the real life, real business experiences, and a beautiful memory of university life time.
After judging, the result of 5 teams which had the ticket to the final night was:
1. A – team (Accounting, Finance and Banking)
2. Dong phuong bat bai (Finance and Banking)
3. DIY (Finance and Banking)
4. Supper girls (Accounting, Finance and Banking)
5. Five iot (Business Administration)
With a extremely geat result of second round, 5 best team coming to the final round was expected that can make the final night be very successful.
