Representatives of Swiss Finance Institute visit the UEB

On 19th January 2016, Dr. Rob Straw - Education Director of Swiss Finance Institute had a working meeting with representatives of the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) to discuss potential cooperation programs between the two sides.


Attending the meeting with Dr. Rob Straw, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector of the UEB, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, MA. Hoang Thi Bao Thoa - Deputy Director of the Centre for International Training and Education.
At the meeting, Dr. Rob Straw expressed his desire to cooperate with the UEB in the field of training, namely the construction of an effective joint training program between the Swiss Finance Institute and the University of Economics and Business. He also said, the UEB is the most appreciated partner when Swiss Finance Institute decided to expand the international training program.
Later at the meeting, representatives of the two sides discussed ideas on cooperation of postgraduate training programs. The effective joint training program will open more opportunities for students to access the advanced knowledge, international teaching methods and improve research and teaching capacity for lecturers of the UEB.

Ending the meeting, Mr. Rob Straw expressed his gratitude to the warm welcome of the UEB as well as appreciated the achievements that the University has gained over the years. In the coming time, the two sides will continue to exchange information to bring into effect the idea of ​​cooperation in the near future.

The Swiss Finance Institute is a private foundation created in 2006 by Switzerland's banking and finance community in cooperation with leading Swiss universities. It supports and advances research, doctoral training and executive education in banking and finance. The Institute is supported by the Swiss banks, the Swiss Stock Exchange, Swiss universities and the Swiss Federal Government.
