On 27th October 2008, representatives from the University of Economics and Business - VNU hosted a delegation from Westfield State College in America, which was in Hanoi to discuss possible future collaborations.
Representatives from UEB included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha, Rector of the university, and staff members from the Cooperation and Development Department. The delegation from Westfield State College was led by Dr. Evan Dobelle, who has a long and illustrious profile in the education sector in the United States.
During the meeting, representatives from the two colleges discussed possible areas of future collaboration and partnership. Areas in which both institutions had interest included student and faculty exchanges, as well as short term courses and study tours.
The two institutions are hopeful that future collaboration in the areas discussed will be forthcoming.
