Promoting partnership with Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

On 22nd October 2010 Dr. Vu Anh Dung - Dean of Faculty of International Business and Economics (FIBE) had a working session with Chulalongkorn University delegation led by Prof. Kamonchanok Suthiwartnarueput - Faculty of Commerce & Accounting, Director of International Training Programs.

Chulalongkorn University is the most long-standing university in Thailand. Formerly known as training school for state administration, the university was established by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). Chulalongkorn University signed the education cooperative agreement with the University of Texas (USA) in 1954. Since then, the university have been continuously strengthened their cooperative training with international universities; especially offering scholarship programs to outstanding students in neighbor universities such as Cambodia, Myanmar, Lao, Vietnam.


The meeting was focused on cooperation in research and training between the FIBE and Chualongkorn University. Besides, Chualongkorn University suggested some directions in postgraduate training as well as to promote the primary base for joint training program.

At the meeting, Chulalongkorn University representative also expressed the willingness to provide UEB staffs and students with priority scholarships in studying Logistic Management Doctoral program in Thailand.
