Banking and Finance Faculty greets foreign visiting professor

From 03/01 to 05/01/2018, Prof Dick Beason, the manager of international cooperation department, Albeta University visits the Banking and Finance faculty, VNU University of Economics and Bussiness as the acceptance of formal invitation from Assoc. Prof Tran Thi Thanh Tu, Dean of Banking and Finance faculty. This is an activity in the program of high quality bachelor training provided by the faculty as well as a part of the international cooperation orientation of the faculty.

Finance and Banking students' practical training at Pvcombank

Continuing the spirit of connecting students to enterprises, on the 24th October 2017, the Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Economics and Business – Vietnam National University of Hanoi and Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVcomBank) together held an informal talk to orientate career for students at the headquarter of PVcomBank, 22 Ngo Quyen street, Hanoi.

Chain of CG training courses in Banks

On 3 days 21-22 and 23 June 2017, Faculty of Banking and Finance, University of Economics and Business, VNU in collaboration with International Finance Corporation (IFC, World Bank), Center for Risk Management Studies (CRMS) in Indonesia organized short course training of Coporate Governance at Head Office of Deposit Insurance of VN, HCMC Branch. Attending the training courses are bank leaders from banks such as BIDV, MB, DongA, Lien Viet and full-time officers from Deposit Insurance of Vietnam, the State Bank of Vietnam, Bureau of Banking Supervision in Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.

Corporate governance in banks training course attracted senior leaders in Hanoi

During two days 18th and 19th May 2016 in Hanoi, the training course for banking leaders on “Corporate Governance in Banks” was organized successfully under the coordination between VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) and International Finance Corporation (IFC). Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector of UEB attended and opened the course.

On September 12th 2015, Faculty of Finance - Banking, University of Economics and Business - VNU, coordinating with the Committee of CFA Institute Research Challenge 2016 has officially started the contest in Hall 801, E4 Building.

Advanced Finance and Banking Students’ theses defence

In the training plan for the academic year of 2014 - 2015 of the University of Economics and Business - VNU, Faculty of Finance and Banking celebrated thesis defence for students of QH2011 course – E Advanced Finance and Banking in May 29th 2015,. This course is the first graduated of the training program in high quality of Finance and Banking major so the thesis defence is not only meaningful for the students but also the events that set milestone for the Finance and Banking Department.

Field trip in Hanoi Stock Exchange

To link practical training to skills enhanced for students, on the 18th September 2014, Department of Finance and Banking, University of Economics and Business - VNU organized a field trip at the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) for honor-class students (CLC) in Finance and Banking (QH-2011-E TCNH CLC).

Training course in improving “Data analysis skill in reseach ”

In the morning of 12th August 2014, faculty of Finance and Banking of UEB – VNU, held the opening ceremony for the course “Data analysis skill in research” for lecturers in the faculty. Attending the course were Dr. Le Trung Thanh – Associate Dean on duty of the faculty of Finance and Banking, Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Associate Dean of the faculty of Finance and Banking, Dr. Tran Quang Tuyen - Associate Dean of the faculty of Political Economics with many lecturers in the university.
