Faculty of Finance and Banking, UEB, VNU has held successful training program chain of "Corporate Governance of Commercial Banking in Vietnam" course

Following the success of the first training course (days April 13-14th 2015) and the second course (on April 16-17th 2015), Department of Finance and Banking respectfully held ceremony and awarded certificates to the trained participants in "Corporate Governance of Commercial Banking in Vietnam" the third time at World Bank headquarters on April 23rd 2015.


The 3rd training course has closed the training component of the project "Capacity building of corporate governance of Commercial Banking in Vietnam" was funded by the World Bank and the Development Fund of the Government of Australia (Ausaid).

In the part of Integrated Training Program (Vietnam Blended Learning Program - VBLP), this course has used the integration between directly training mode and training mode via videoconference parallel with e- learning electronic lectures at http://www.ueb.com.vn. Throughout three training course, there are eight senior experts in Vietnam and abroad and experienced lecturers from the University of Sydney, Australia; New York University, University of Economics - VNU; Vietnam Deposit Insurance and Securities Corporation.

During the training course, participants have been equipped with updated knowledge and strong practical: Corporate Governance Principles in accordance with International Standards, International experiences in Corporate Governance in Banking, Evaluating Corporate Governance in Commercial Banking in Vietnam. The participants also have participated positively, practicing and exchanging actively in groups interacting with lecturers and classmates.

With continuous organization of three training courses in Hanoi, attracting more than 100 participants, the training course has received many praises from the Commercial Banks and Financial Institutions in Vietnam. Speaking in the closing ceremony, the trainees gave thanks to the World Bank and the Development Fund of the Government of Australia (Ausaid) who have funded the training course. They also gave thanks to Faculty of Finance and Banking of University of Economics and Business, VNU who has held useful course with practical contents and highly applicable. In addition, the course is a bridge between the networks of Commercial Banking, Vietnam. This course has opened opportunities for bilateral cooperation between the College of Economic and Commercial Banks, credit institutions in Vietnam.

Based on the success of the last training sequence, in the future, Faculty of Finance and Banking will continue to coordinate with the Vietnam Banking Association deploy next training for Commercial Banking in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
