On March 27, 2019, Representative of Fulbright Vietnam came to the University of Economics and Business (UEB-VNU) to meet the leaders and lecturers and students who interested in Fulbright scholarship to share information about this program.
Attending the event, we had Ms. Do Thu Huong and Dr. Paul Jantz - Representative of Fulbright Vietnam; on the side of the university, there was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of UEB-VNU, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking at UEB, PhD. Nguyen Hong Thuy - Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing at UEB, PhD. Dinh Thi Thanh Van - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking at the UEB, Assoc. Nguyen Viet Khoi - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and International Business at the UEB and with other students and lecturers of universities.
At the meeting, Ms. Do Thu Huong introduced the content of the Fulbright Scholar Program, the conditions and methods of application. Accordingly, the Fulbright Vietnamese Students Program is one of four traditional Fulbright programs, a full scholarship program for Vietnamese students involved in teaching and research at US universities within 3 to 9 months. About 10-20 Vietnamese scholars are selected annually. The meeting also gave a time for Dr. Paul to present a detailed tutorial on how to write a useful research outline. Notes on eligibility, participation rights, how to have a convincing research proposal, how to learn the experiences of successful candidates ... It was thoroughly explained by Mrs. Thu Huong and Dr. Paul.
In addition, scholars who have participated in the Fulbright program include: Assoc. Tran Thi Thanh Tu, PhD. Dinh Thi Thanh Van, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi also shared their experience, experience and feelings during their research, study and work in the United States.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the UEB, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector gave a thank you speech to the Fulbright program for coming and sharing information with UEB’s staffs and lecturers, and expected the Fulbright Program to continue to expand its support and cooperation with the University in many areas of the Program's activities. Through these activities, the University of Economics and Business promises to have a close cooperation with US partners, universities, and research institutes, contributing to the sustainable development of the UEB.
