Research purposes:
Through analyzing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s steel industry and studying the experience of several countries in enhancing the competitiveness of the steel industry, the thesis found out the main causes that made Vietnam’s steel industry less competitive. The thesis suggested solutions to increase the competitiveness of Vietnam’s steel industry in the domestic market and gradually to export steel products made by Vietnam.
From the research results, the author proposed a master development plan for Vietnam’s steel industry which promotes the involvement of domestic and international partners in the steel industry.
