Public passenger transport service plays a highly important role in urban and Hanoi in particular. The author studied the experience of development of public passenger transport service from countries around the world such as India, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Germany and analyzed the current situations of the service in Hanoi from 2000 till now. In order to recommend a number of solutions to boost the development of public passenger transport service in Hanoi, she had collected and analyzed the basic theories of the service in urban like concepts, characteristics, roles, quality evaluation criteria and many other factors relevant.
