Participating in GPAC 2010 were six prestigious Asian universities, including: University of Economics and Business - VNU; Keio University (Japan); Chiba University of Commerce (Japan); Meio University (Japan); Seoul National University (Korea); National Chengchi University (Chinese Taiwan).

As the host of GPAC 2010, University of Economics and Business - VNU has left impressions of warm greetings and professional organization among international friends. Besides the supporting meetings and activities, UEB students introduced Vietnamese culture to international friends by visits to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, tourism sites in Hanoi and the world’s natural heritage Ha Long Bay.

After a day of preparing, GPAC 2010 officially opened with the panel discussion by professors from 6 participating universities and 150 international students on the theme “What should Asian countries do to maintain their self-sustaining development?” Apart from ideas about international economy, professors shared with students about their experience in learning and study. Most professors believed that Asian students have the advantage of studying and trying in a lively and young economy. However, lessons drew from European countries’ experience are worth considering. Therefore, the important thing for participating students is to practice their knowledge of world’s economy and English to learn from international friends. In addition, students shout be self-confident. The discussion was open and fruitful, drawing students’ interest and contribution.

After meeting and sharing discussions with professors, 150 international students started their assignment. They worked in groups, discussed and proposed issues relevant to international economy. After agreeing on topics and discussion arrangements, groups had presentations of their topics in front of the economic professors. Main topics which students focused included market economics, international economics, international finance, investment and international commerce, general labor economics, microeconomics, managers’ challenges, tourism and economics.

With competent economics English, groups of students had excellent presentations that attracted professors’ attention. Most of the comments were that students had used modern tools, specific information and statistics, which made their presentations outstanding.

In the regard of GPAC 2010 forum, University of Economics and Business has made impression when organizing reception and farewell party full of feelings for other universities. On 24^th August, at the first meeting between members of delegations, associated professor, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, UEB Vice Rector had to cease his speech when the audience felt really excited for receiving warm greetings. Within the same event, Prof. Harou Shimada, President Chiba University of Commerce made more excited atmosphere when students cheerfully shouted of the introduction of the guests present at the hall.

At the farewell party, all the participants became friendlier after 4 days of working and sharing, the atmosphere was really open-minded. Professors also integrated into students’ activities. In spite of the short time of several hours, the unity among Asian students in GPAC 2010 was expressed by hugs, smiles and warm handshakes.

Within GPAC 2010 framework, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son had several working sessions and academic discussions with representatives of participating universities. Accordingly, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son introduced the development of University of Economics and Business and Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He emphasized on training activities of the UEB and student’s qualification. Moreover, as an economics researcher, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son also discussed about economic information between Vietnam and other nations such as Japan, Korea, Chinese Taiwan, China… to assess economic potentiality of these countries. He confirmed that through GPAC 2010, participants are getting to understand one another and find cooperative opportunities in many aspects, especially in training high-quality human resource in economic management.
