On 18th October 2017, VNU’s President signed the decision to acknowledge one strong research group at the UEB, raising the number of UEB’s strong research groups to 4.
The strong research group recognized by VNU is the research group on corporate governance in banks led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu from Faculty of Finance and Banking.
The main research directions of the group are (i) Developing a set of index to evaluate corporate governance in commercial banks in Vietnam, (ii) The role of corporate governance in banks in the context of reconstruction and global financial crisis, (iii) Impact of corporate governance on operation performance of commercial banks, (iv) experiences in developing the set of index to measure corporate governance in banks, (v) Bank restructuring, risk management in banks and (vi) Financial health rating of the banking system.
In the decision, VNU also recognized the research group on lean management led by Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh from School of Business Administration, UEB as a potential research group.
