On 7th May 2018, VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) held the ceremony to honor 6 newly-appointed Associate Professor of the University in 2017.
The ceremony welcomed the participation of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector of UEB, Prof. Phan Huy Duong - Chairman of Council for Professor Title at UEB, the vice rectors, lecturers, students and family members of the associate professors.
In 2017, the UEB had 6 lecturers receiving the tittles of associate professors, including:
- Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Lecturer of Faculty of International Business and Economics;
- Assoc.Prof.Dr Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, Lecturer of Faculty of Finance and Banking;
- Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Dang Minh - Vice Director and Lecturer of Center of Business Administration Study;
- Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Duc Thanh - Director of Vietnam Institute for Economics and Policy Research, Lecturer of Faculty of Development Economics;
- Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Anh Tuan - Head of Office of Academic Affairs, Lecturer of Faculty of Finance and Banking;
- Assoc.Prof.Dr Phan Chi Anh - Director of Center for Business Administration Studies, Lecturer of Faculty of Business Administration.

Delivering the speech at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le congratulated to all newly-appointed associate professors. He expressed gratitude for contribution of the new associate professors.

At the ceremony, the associate professors shared their pride and happiness for being recognized with honorable title. Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Anh Thu said, she was honored to receive the title of associate professors. It’s the UEB that supported her in the long journey to become what she is today. Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Dang Minh also had an inspiring speech about the challenges that he and other associate professors had to overcome and encouraged other young lectures and students to try and develop themselves everyday, in every project for the future of themselves and VNU University of Economics and Business.
