Scientific Seminar: "The Impact of Global Minimum Tax on Foreign Direct Investment in Vietnam"

Recently, a successful scientific seminar on the topic "The Impact of Global Minimum Tax on Foreign Direct Investment in Vietnam" was held at the University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University. The seminar featured speakers who are policy makers and economic experts from various prominent organizations and institutions in the country. The event was part of the UEB Research and Sharing series, organized by the University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University, with the Department of International Economics and Business as the technical coordinator.

Research Journey and Publication in International Journal by Faculty and Students of the School of Development Economics, UEB

First time engaging in scientific research, the group of students from the class QH2020-E KTPT 3: Do Thi Ngoc Tram, Trinh Minh Thuan, and Khong Phuong Mai, under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen An Thinh - Head of the Department of Economic Development at the University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University, have excellently completed their research project. They participated in the 2023 Student Research Conference and published their research outcomes in a reputable international journal listed in the Web of Science (WoS) database, achieving a Q1 ranking.

The University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University, organized the Vietnam-France Economic Forum in 2023 to celebrate the 50th year of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

UEB to promote Accreditation following to ACBSP standards

Accrediting education quality based on international standards is a common practice to affirm the position and improve the training quality of higher education institutions. Recently, University of Economics and Business had a meeting with Prof. Christopher S. Cook, CPA, CGMA - Senior Lecturer, Department of Accounting - an education accrediting expert from Kelley School of Business (Indiana University), USA to consult on the process of training accreditation based on ACBSP standards.

Recently, the Vietnam Socio-Economic Forum 2022, the nation's annual program with the theme "Strengthening the macroeconomic foundation, promoting recovery and sustainable development", attracted 450 participants onsite and about 600 lecturers, students from 6 institutes and universities joining online. The forum was organized with a plenary session of high-level talks and 2 thematic sessions, attracting great attention from the society and business community.

On September 30, 2022, under the sponsorship of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) Institute in Vietnam, the University of Economics and Business - VNU cooperated with Tra Vinh University to organize a National Scientific Conference with the theme "Domestic and international context: Opportunities and challenges for trade and investment in the Mekong Delta".
