Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Digital Economy: Towards Smart Higher Education

Insightful university governance is increasingly turning to artificial intelligence (AI), which is assisting institutions in launching a "revolution" that will change the educational process. The seminar "Artificial intelligence in the digital economy: Towards Smart Higher Education" was conducted on April 21 as a result of this development trend. It was organized by the University of Economics and Business (UEB), the International Francophone Institute - VNU (IFI), and the University of Technology - VNU (UET).


The seminar was held in the form of a hybrid, directly at Hall 801 E4 - University of Economics and Business - VNU and online via the Zoom platform combined with Facebook livestream attracting more than 200 attendees, who are delegates, experts, scientists, experts and learners inside and outside Hanoi National University.

 

Opening the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Truc Le, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Economics and Business said that AI has recently emerged as a significant, quickly expanding and profitable research field. Meanwhile, AI is increasingly employed in many industries and calls for the necessary equipment in terms of skills, knowledge, and capacities related to AI.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Truc Le also hopes that the presentations in the seminar will provide information, and knowledge and share initial experiences on using AI in higher education and scientific research, and at the same time talk about the problems that AI technology poses.

Prof. Dr Hoang Van Xiem, Head of the Department of Robotics Engineering (UET) and Dr Vu Quoc Hien, Faculty of Finance and Banking (UEB).
