UEB lecturers contributes to the development of the set of criteria to evaluate the level of circular economy implementation

On November 22nd, 2022, the Center for Socio-Economic Data and Analysis (CSEAD), under the VNU University of Economics and Business held a scientific seminar with the topic "Building a set of assessment criteria to evaluate the level of implementation of the circular economy in agricultural production in the Red River Delta”.


The seminar was attended by about 150 managers and researchers from Ministries/Departments, research institutes, universities and enterprises.
Scarcity and depletion of natural resources, pollution, environmental degradation, and climate change have become major challenges for mankind. To contribute to solve the challenges, the circular economy model is being evaluated by the international community as the most appropriate and practical approach. Accordingly, development of a set of criteria to evaluate the level of implementation of the circular economy in agricultural production is of critical importance. This is also the topic discussed by experts and researchers at the seminar.
 
 
The hybrid-mode seminar jointly attended by many experts and guests
Two researchers from the VNU-UEB, Dr. Nguyen Thi Vinh Ha (Head of Economics Department - Faculty of Development Economics) and Dr. Nguyen The Kien (Director of CSEAD Center) presented the report and discussed the topic "Building a set of evaluation criteria to assess the level of circular economy implementation in agricultural production in the Red River Delta" and “Factors affecting the level of circular economy implementation in agricultural production in the Red River Delta”. The content of discussion and comments of experts is an important part to build the content of the project at Vietnam National University, Hanoi with the topic: "Building a set of criteria and a model to evaluate the actual Circular economy in agricultural production: Experimental application with some agricultural production models in the Red River Delta.
