VNU University of Economics and Business is the first member university of Vietnam National University, Hanoi to apply the new method in university admission 2022, including using International English certificate combined with transcripts or results of the high school graduation exam for the admission.

Along with the excitement to welcome the new school year across the country,, in the morning of 20th September 2013, VNU-UEB formally held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2013-2014.

On 10 March 2013, VNU- UEB staffs have given advice and responded many questions that students and parents concerned on the Career Orientation Day 2013.

On 10th January 2011, Minister of Ministry of Education and Training has signed the decision 189/QD-BGDDT which appointed Prof. Nguyen Hong Son to the Rector post of University of Economics and Business - VNU, 2011 - 2016 term.

Joint training program of Business Administration Bachelor between Troy University (The U.S.) and University of Economics and Business - VNU, Hanoi is opening new course in Fall 2010.

On 17th May 2010, Director of English Center, Massey University (New Zealand) paid a visit and working session at University of Economics and Business - VNU to discuss on DEEP English program.

On 28th April 2010, nearly 2000 students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and other universities in Hanoi participated in "Career Festival" held by Center for Students Service, University of Economics and Business - VNU.

On 8th December 2009, University of Economics and Business - VNU held Intake I opening ceremony of 2+2 BBS training program cooperated Massey University (New Zealand).

On 10th October 2009, the Information Day of Master of Business Administration program cooperated between the University of Economics and Business and Benedictine University (USA) was held at the UEB - VNU. The festival has attracted lots of participants.

On 16th August 2009, the Information Day of Intake I - BBS Joint Program between Massey University (New Zealand) and the UEB took place at the University of Economics and Business - VNU. The Information Day attracted many students and parents.

On 17th July 2009, The University of Economics and Business - VNU cooperated with The PUF (Pôles Universitaires Français) Hanoi to organize an Information Day for The Master’s Program in Economic Expertise and International Project Management between the UEB - VNU and Paris 12 University.
