- Analyzed impacts of official development assistance (ODA) of European Union on socio-economic development in Vietnam.

-  Studied the theoretical and practical basis of ODA and ODA of European Union, and analyzed the impacts of this loan on the socio economic development of Vietnam.

-  Proposed some major solutions to improve attraction and utilization of EU ODA for Vietnam.

New contributions:

- Analyzed and clarified the influences of EU’s ODA for Vietnam’s socio-economic development.

-  Analyzed opportunities and challenges that Vietnam has when attracting EU ODA then estimated ODA of EU for Vietnam;

-  Several major measures were proposed to enhance positive influences of EU ODA for socio-economic development in Vietnam.
