Entrepreneurial Government: The role and action of the government in the course of national innovation

On January 28th, 2021, VNU University of Economics and Business held the seminar "Entrepreneurial Government: The role and action of the government in the course of national innovation".

The seminar was attended by Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of the UEB, PhD. Nguyen Dinh Cung - Former Director of the Central Institute for Economic Management; PhD. Vo Tri Thanh - Director of the Institute of Brand and Competitiveness Strategy; Assoc.Prof.PhD. Tran Dinh Thien - Member of the Advisory Group of the Prime Minister, Former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute; Mr. Tran Manh Cuong - Co-founder of the Expanded Economic Research program together with lecturers and students of the UEB.

The 4th industrial revolution is changing the world. It opens up many opportunities as well as challenges for Vietnam on the path of economic development and modernization. To achieve the socio-economic goals set by the Party and the Government, one of the most fundamental and crucial points is to recognize the role of the government and the mechanism managing different factors of the economy. The lessons from history have shown that the neither extreme Government's intervention could create a strong economy. An intelligent intervention, enough adjustment at the right time is needed.
