“Asia Dialogue 2021”: Connecting Vietnamese and Japanese students

The program co-organized by Yokohama National University, Japan (YNU) and VNU University of Economics and Business brought the students the chances to discuss the impacts of covid-19 to Vietnamese and Japanese economy.

The "Asia Dialogue 2021" takes place in 2 days, October 29, 2021 and November 1, 2021. The program aims to create a forum for UEB and YNU students to discuss and exchange research results on the economic impact of COVID-19 in Vietnam and Japan, sustainable development goals and global value chains. Through discussions and exchanges, students from the two universities have the opportunity to expand their knowledge about post-pandemic economic issues and solutions for sustainable development in the future.

 

Also, the program featured the lectures from teachers of the two universities, Dr. Nguyen Bich Diep - lecturer at Faculty of Development Economics, VNU-UEB with the lecture on "Vietnam's poverty reduction policy to achieve sustainable development goals" and "Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on global value chains" by Prof. Dr. Mukunoki Hiroshi, Gakushuin University, Japan.

 
 

During the two days, lecturers and students of the two universities came together to exchange and discuss on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy and society in Vietnam and Japan.
