UEB's students to take part in Global Partnership of Asian Colleges 2021

Global Partnership of Asian Colleges 2021 (GPAC 2021) took place in September 2021 amid the complex situation of global pandemic.

The annual academic seminar for Asian students has officially returned. Amid the complex situation of the covid-19 pandemic, the seminar provided a place for the students to discuss the “problems” and solutions to face with current challenges. The event took place in three days in September 2021.

 

Global partnership of Asian Colleges, known as “GPAC”, is an academic seminar that many famous universities in Asia holds in turn every year. There are hundred students from well-known colleges of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, China and Israel attending GPAC every year. The purpose of GPAC is to provide a platform for outstanding students from different Asian countries to have academic exchange activities and discuss current economic issues of Asia Pacific Zone.

 

This year, the event was held by Chiba University of Commerce (Japan) using zoom platform with the participation of 3 universities: VNU University of Economics and Business, Tokyo Metropolitan University (Japan), COMAS School of Management (Israel).

UEB’s students had discussion and presentations with 41 students from four universities. Members of UEB’s team come from Faculty of International Economics and Business, School of Business Administration, Faculty of Development Economics and Faculty of Political Economy.

This year, three groups of UEB students were chosen as the teams with best presentations. With the persuasive presentation on "Assessing Vietnam's implementation of 2011-2020 gender equality from economic and political perspectives and goals to 2030", the group of 3 students Nguyen Quynh Trang, Chu Thi Huyen and Do Ngoc Bich from the Faculty of International Business and Economics won the first prize.

 

Besides, the UEB’s group 1 (including the students Vu Minh Hoang and Luong Thi Khanh Ly) from the Faculty of Development Economics and the UEB’s group 4 (including 7 students Ta Thi Van Anh, Nguyen Thi Phuong Ly , Vu Thi Phuong Thao, Nguyen Thi Hai Yen, Hoang Thi Hoai Huong, Sam Pham An Binh and Dao Viet Anh) from the Faculty of International Business and Economics were among the four groups with best presentations at the GPAC 2021.
