GDPRTE Project Management Unit worked with UNDP's representatives

On 3rd December, 2014, at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) office in Vietnam, Project Management Unit (PMU) of “Capacity building for policy research and training and education to advance green development” (GDPRTE Project) had a working meeting with the representatives of Sustainable Development Cluster of UNDP to discuss the implementation of project activities in 2014 and work plan for the year 2015.

This will be the annual meeting between UNDP's representatives and GDPRTE's PMU.
To be present at the meeting, from UNDP Vietnam, there were Mr Dao Xuan Lai, Head of Sustainable Development Cluster and Ms Nastassja Hoffet, Project Officer. From VNU-UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, VNU-UEB Rector cum National Project Director; Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu, National Project Deputy Director of Project, Dr. Nguyen Thi Vu Ha, Project Manager and other officers.

At the meeting, the two parties had open discussion about the activities implemented in 2014 as well as solutions to overcome and fulfill the plan set out in 2014. Mr Dao Xuan Lai shared his opinion about a list of potential partners as well as leading experts in Vietnam who are conducting researches regarding green growth and climate change. Mr Dao Xuan Lai also expressed his expectation that the UEB would set up an information hub to provide interest individuals and organizations with useful information on green growth and climate change, at the same time, allow users to interact and share relevant documents. 
In the working session, the two sides discussed and agreed key points in the annual work plan for the year 2015 such as main objectives, specific objectives, a list of activities and financial allocation for the whole year. 
The working meeting came to an end effectively, helping GDPRTE PMU develop the appropriate and feasible plan to achieve results as planned in the detailed project outline.
