Signing ceremony with Hiroshima Business and Management School

On 27th February 2019, Hiroshima Business and Management School signed the MOU with VNU University of Economics and Business, becoming the 11th partner of the UEB in Japan.

Attending the ceremony, from HBMS, there were Prof. Yoshinori Yokoyama - Rector, Prof. Katsue Edo, Assoc.Prof. Narumi Yoshikawa and Mr. Yasuhiko Oishi - Office of MBA program. From the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector and leaders of offices.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu said, HBMS is the 11th partner of the UEB in Japan. The university with long-established tradition is famous for its training. Cooperation with Hiroshima University will open opportunities in academic and cultural exchange for students and strengthening the partnership between Vietnam and Japan.

Leader of HBMS speaks 

Leader of HBMS said, “HBMS seeks for a new and creative, Asian oriented MBA program, to meet the demands of graduate students and the global business environment. We are challenging for new systems, design programs for the next generation, especially for healthcare, natural resources related businesses. To achieve our goals, we need to collaborate and network with University in the Asian countries, especially with a strong developing country like Vietnam. We have been working for partnership since 2017 October, and the MOU today will be a very memorable, for this will be our first MOU in the world.”

 

Before the signing ceremony, the two sides had discussion on cooperative activities, emphasizing on student exchange. Prior to this, there was the delegation of Hiroshima University came to the UEB and 2 delegations of UEB’s students experiencing exchange at Hiroshima University. It’s expected that by mid-August, HBMS will send the delegation of 5-10 MBA students to the UEB for 1-week exchange. Meanwhile, 2 or 3 HBMS’s lecturers will come to teach and do research at VNU-UEB in environmental policies, agricultural economics, urban management and marketing etc.

At the ceremony, leaders of the two universities signed the MOU, which created the foundation for deploying the cooperative activities.

 

After the ceremony, Prof. Yoshinori Yokoyama from HBMS and Dr. Ho Chi Dung from the UEB chaired the talkshow in Healthcare management system in super-aging society with attendance of 100 students of the UEB. The talkshow gave an overview on infrastructure and medical services in Japan. The services of patient-centered care is the main drive for Japanese top medical services.
