UEB’s leaders working with Friedrich Naumann Foundation

On February 13th, 2019, leaders of VNU University of Economics and Business had the first meeting with foreign partner in the year of the pig 2019 - Friedrich Naumann Foundation from Germany.

Attending the meeting, from FNF, there were Mr. Mark Stanizki - Country Director, FNF Vietnam, Dr. Pham Hung Tien - Officer; from the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi - Associate Dean of Faculty of International Business and Economics, Dr. Ho Chi Dung - Associate Dean of School of Business Administration, MA. Nguyen Duc Lam - Deputy Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development.

At the beginning of the meeting, Rector of the UEB expressed his gratitude for FNF’s companion and support/funding for the activities of UEB in 2018. He hoped that the two sides will promote the cooperation in 2019. Meanwhile, leaders of UEB and FNF also discussed the cooperative activities to be undertaken in 2019, such as: co-organizing the competition Business Challenges 2019, organizing international conferences in cooperation with the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Goettingen University, planning to republish the book "Prospects for Vietnam and Germany in the context of economic integration in ASEAN and EU".

In addition, representatives of the UEB and FNF discussed opportunities to strengthen the cooperation with a number of German companies and enterprises. The activity will benefit UEB students, giving them the internship opportunities in international businesses.

End of the meeting, Rector of the UEB - Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le hoped that the cooperation between FNF and UEB will be promoted and bring mutual benefits to both sides.
