Attending the meeting, from Vietnam Japan University, there were Prof. Furuta Motoo - Rector. From VNU University of Economics and Business, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector together with heads of Research and Partnership Development and Academic Affairs.

Introducing about Vietnam Japan University, Prof. Furuta Motoo said, the university is a symbol of Vietnam and Japan cooperation. Established in 2014, the University went into official operation in 2016. Vietnam Japan University was directly supported by Japanese Government to become excellent research and training institution in Asia.

 

Prof. Furuta Motoo expressed the wish to collaborate with the UEB in training and research. This will be the chance to promote strengths of both universities. In particular, Vietnam Japan University plans to open a number of undergraduate programs in economics and sustainable sciences. By 2019, the University will open the first undergraduate program in the field of interdisciplinary economics.

 

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le affirmed that, as member university of VNU, the UEB will try its best to promote cooperation with Vietnam Japan University. This cooperation is undoubtedly a co-operative and long-term partnership towards mutually beneficial between the two universities.
