A working session between University of Economics and Business, VNU and National Taipei College of Business

The representatives of National Taipei College of Business at the working session with UEB-VNU.
On 12th January 2009, the working session between UEB - VNU and National Taipei College of Business was held to discuss the future bilateral cooperative programs between the two institutions.

Representing  for National Taipei College of Business were Dr. Chen-Chang Lai, President;  Dr. Leslie C.J.Lin, Dean of Research and Development Office, Assistant professor of International Economics Department; Dr. Hsing-Chin Lee, Dean of Technology and Cooperation Office, Assistant Professor of Applied Foreign Languages Department

From UEB - VNU, attending the session were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice Rector; Dr. Hoang Van Hai, Dean of School of Business and coordinators from Scientific Research and Cooperation Development Department and School of Business.

In the session, Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Linh - MA, Coordinator of Scientific Research and Cooperation Development Department introduced in general the history of UEB, its mission, training and cooperation development objectives in the coming period. Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Linh also introduced the programs training in both Vietnamese and English: the undergraduate and the graduate programs and the success of cooperative programs with foreign partners such as Troy University (USA), Massey University (New Zealand)… and a domestic partner: The Gami Group…

In the session, the representatives from National Taipei College of Business also introduced the contribution and success of the university during the recent years. It was also mentioned that the training program of National Taipei College of Business are of national standard and the success rate of students majoring in business is very high. The representatives from National Taipei College of Business also emphasized the cooperation potential  between the two Colleges, especially in the field of business administration. Currently, there have been many successful Taiwanese enterprises in Vietnam. As a result, the opportunity for future cooperation between the two institutions  is  very optimistic.

Three main issues were discussed during the session:

1. Lecturers exchange: the UEB will invite the Business Administration lecturers of the partner to deliver international-standard courses. National Taipei College of Business will provide highly-qualified lecturers to satisfy the requirements of UEB and to conduct the class teaching of 16+23 program.

2. The UEB will organize “Study Tour” for ex-students from the National Taipei College of Business to go to Vietnam to study the language, culture and Vietnamese business climate.

3. Research projects: The two partners plan to exchange the general research projects and to organize the international conferences.
