In the morning 9th January, 2014, at Room 801 Building E4, based on the framework of cooperation between the Faculty of Finance and Banking (FBB), University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University and Long Beach College, California State University , The seminar ‘Global financial crisis - the lessons learnt from the United States” was held in excitingly academic atmosphere .
The participants of the seminar are Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Prof. Hamdi Bilici – Director of Training Program in Asia of Long Beach College, California State University, many lecturers and students of FBB and other faculties.
In the seminar, Professor Hamdi clearly provided a lot of information about the causes and consequences of the last two global financial crises (in 1980s and in 2008 till now) and how U.S faced these crises. Furthermore, Prof. Hamdi offered some useful comments for all students and teachers who are interested in this topic.
The students also eagerly asked many questions relating to the lessons learnt from U.S with the situations of Vietnam. Prof. Hamdi answered all the questions and provided more useful knowledge as well.
At the end of the seminar, Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu express sincere thanks to Prof. Hamdi for the interesting presentation and hope that in the future there would be more opportunities to work with Prof. Hamdi as well as enhancing collaboration between the Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Economics and Business and the Long Beach College, California State University.
