VNU University of Economics and Business (VNU-UEB) affirmed its leading position among members of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Studying at the University, students have the chances to participate in international and domestic student exchange programs or take part in transfer programs at partner universities in the US, UK, India.
Currently, the subjects at the VNU-UEB are developed following international standards. Accordingly, the students have chance to transfer to international universities after completing the first stage at the UEB. As that, they will receive the degree from the host university after accumulating enough credits required.
The chances for UEB’s students to take transfer programs
1. Transfer program to get bachelor's degree in Troy University, USA
First stage:
- Eligibility: Students who are studying undergraduate programs of the VNU-UEB
Note: Students transferring into the program can study fully in Vietnam or transfer to the United States to study depending on their wishes.
Requirements to be transferred to the US:
+ Have completed at least one semester;
+ Have an international English certificate equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 72;
+ Minimum GPA: 2.5/4.0.
Second stage:
+ Accumulating at least 40 credits included in the BSBA-TROY Curriculum Framework
+ Taking at least two semesters with courses taught by Troy University in Vietnam with grade C or higher
+ Minimum GPA of 2.7/4.0.
Tuition & Scholarships:
- Tuition fees: For students transferring to the United States, the fee for international students will apply. For specific information, see: https://www.troy.edu/international/study-troy/tuition-fees.html)
- Scholarship: Transfer students to Troy University, USA from BSBA-TROY Program at VNU-UEB will be entitled to a scholarship of 50% of tuition fees (the same as US citizens in Alabama) when maintaining the GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
2. Transfer program to get bachelor's degree in University of Saint Francis, US
First stage:
- Eligibility: Students who are studying undergraduate programs of the VNU-UEB
Note: Students transferring into the program can study fully in Vietnam or transfer to the United States to study depending on their wishes.
Requirements to be transferred to the US:
+ Have completed at least one semester;
+ Have an international English certificate equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 72;
+ Minimum GPA: 2.5/4.0.
Second stage:
+ Accumulating at least 40 credits included in the BSBA-TROY Curriculum Framework
+ Taking at least two semesters with courses taught by Troy University in Vietnam with grade C or higher
+ Minimum GPA of 2.7/4.0.
Tuition & Scholarships:
- Tuition fees: For students transferring to the United States, they will enjoy the same tuition fee as for US citizen in Illinois, USA. For more information see:

- Scholarship: Transferred students will have the opportunity to receive a scholarship of up to 25% of tuition fees if they achieve and maintain the GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
3. Transfer Program to get the Bachelor's Degree at Portland State University, USA
Eligibility: Students completing 2 years at VNU-UEB
Transfer period: 2 years
Transfer conditions:
+ Complete 20 credits at VNU-UEB (excluding foreign language course)
+ GPA from 2.25/4.0
+ IELTS 6.0 (Reading and Writing of 6.0 or higher; or TOEFL IBT of 71, Reading and Writing of 15)
Note: Students with IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL IBT 60 can join the Pathway program in Portland to meet the foreign language requirements.
Tuition & Scholarships:
Tuition: $28,410 - $29.265 USD (depending on the program)
Scholarship: Transfer students are awarded a $4,500 scholarship from PSU and have the opportunity to apply for a $10,000 scholarship.
4. Transfer program to get a bachelor's degree at University of Essex, UK
Eligibility: Students completing 2 years at VNU-UEB
Transfer period: 2 years
Transfer conditions:
+ Completed 2 years of bachelor's degree at UEB
+ GPA from 3.0/4
+ IELTS 6.5 (no component lower than 5.5) or equivalent
Tuition and Scholarships:
- Tuition fee: 16,860 British pounds
- Scholarship: Students participating in the transfer have the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship worth £2,000
5. Transfer program to get a bachelor's degree from O.P Jindal Global University, India
Eligibility: Students completing 2 years at VNU-UEB (bachelor’s degree) and 1 year (master’s degree)
Transfer period: 2 years (for bachelor's) and 1 year (for master's)
Transfer conditions:
+ GPA from 2.5/4
+ IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
Tuition and Scholarships:
- Tuition: $5,650 USD/year (bachelor's) and $7,680 USD/year (master's). Each transfer student will receive a 25% tuition discount scholarship.
- Scholarship: With the group of 5 students transferring to JGU, there will be 1 full scholarship (100% tuition fee), 2 scholarships of 75% tuition reduction and 2 scholarships 50% tuition reduction fee.
6. Transfer program to get bachelor’s degree from Middlesex University (MDX), UK
Eligibility: Students completing 3 years at VNU-UEB
Transfer period: 1 year
Transfer conditions:
+ Completing 100 credits at VNU-UEB
+ GPA from 2.6/4
+ IELTS 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5) or equivalent
Tuition and Scholarships:
- Tuition: 13,000 - 13,500 pounds (depending on the program)
- Scholarship: Students participating in the transfer are granted a scholarship of £ 2000 and the opportunity to win a scholarship of 50% of the tuition fee.
Note: Students who have not satisfy the minimum foreign language score (IELTS 6.0) can take an English course at Middlesex University before the official start of the semester.
