Seminar of UEB Youth Union and Students Association cadres

Youth Union and Students Association cadres Seminar of University of Economics and Business - VNU was held on 28th October 2009 under Rector of UEB - Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha’s chairmanship.


Attending to the seminar were representatives of Political & Students Affairs Department; Library & Information Center; Dormitory Management Board of College of Foreign Languages - VNU. On the side of UEB, there were Rector; Vice Rectors; Heads and specialist of Faculties, Departments, Divisions, Centers; together with representatives of Executive Committees from Youth Union, Students Association and branches.

To start, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - Rector of the UEB - VNU stated to clarify the purposes and significances of the seminar. He also encouraged students to contribute ideas to develop the college; firstly to organizing missions of study, scientific research, students affairs to improve training quality. He affirmed that UEB’s leaders always think about and listen to students’ expectations from all the sources to offer them better learning conditions.

Students of the UEB raised nearly 40 questions related to training facilities, studying period, teaching & managing tasks, curricula - reference materials, scientific research, affairs of residence, vocational education, soft skills, extra-curricula activities…

Several freshmen expressed their expectation to participate in scientific research and learn more about credit training…

In the open atmosphere and honest of the seminar, responding to students’ questions were satisfactory answers from Rector, Vice Rector, Heads of UEB’s units and representative of CFL Dormitory Management Board and VNU Library.

Concluding at the seminar, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha highly appreciated UEB students’ constructive ideas. He instructed the relating units to promptly surmount limitations of facilities, training management, extra-curricula activities... Especially, UEB’s Rector requested Training Department for reinforce propagating courses of credit training. Students’ queries will be collected and sent to the Rector monthly in order to have timely solutions.

The seminar was an open discussion between the leaders and students of the UEB. Through the seminar, many students’ queries were solved; moreover, this was an opportunity for UEB’s Board of Directors to understand more about students’ expectations to propose effective solutions, contributing to the training - education improvement of the UEB.
