Josh is an Associate Professor at OSU in Public Affairs, and Director of the Ohio Education Research Center. He is also an Associate Director of the CHRR at Ohio State University (Center for Human Resource Research) and maintains appointments with the Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI) and the College of Education and Human Ecology at OSU. Josh has directed some $25 million in research grants, overseen multi-state and local studies of topics as diverse as workforce development for health care, data sciences for post-secondary schooling.
His publication record includes books on career and technical education, special issues of the Systems Research and Behavioral Sciences, and a wide range of journal articles in education, health, and economics publications. He has directed 15 doctoral dissertations and 5 post-doctoral researchers. He has also worked as a consultant with organizations as diverse at the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNICEF, and a range of state and local governments in the U.S. During 2011-12 he was a Fulbright Senior Specialist at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.
