Attending to the ceremony were Dr. Sven Erik Svard - Program Director (Uppsala University); Mr. Mathias Blob - Program Manager from Division of Contract Education; Assoc.Prof.PhD. Phung Xuan Nha - VNU Vice President; Dr. Pham Trung Dung - Deputy Director of Program 165 Executive Office. From VNU - UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector; Dr. Pham Vu Thang - Director of CITE together with the graduates and staff of the program.

Having the prestige as a dynamic university, VNU UEB has set in the aim of quality and international standard. Center for International Training and Education of the university is the implementing institute of international joint training programs with renowned universities of The US, Sweden, and New Zealand. Among those, Master Program in Public Management jointly trained with Uppsala University which has a longstanding tradition of over 500 years, holding 62^nd rank in top 100 world’s leading universities, is a priority training program. On that reputation, MPPM intake 2 has been chosen to train the managers and officials within the Program 165 of Central Organization Committee.

In his opening speech, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son has emphasized “within the Program 165, Master Program in Public Management jointly trained by VNU University of Economics and Business and Uppsala University has an important significance, contributing to the official training in public sector of Vietnam. Being chosen by the Central Organization Committee has proven that the program meets social requirement of the development, as well as tightened the relation between Sweden and Vietnam”. UEB Rector has congratulated the new masters, expressed his gratitude to VNU leader and 165 Program for their support and valuable collaboration. Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son also expressed his thanks to UEB staff and program coordinators, whose devoted contribution has brought about the success in implementing the mission of the UEB, providing the society with high quality labor force.

At the ceremony, representative ĐH Uppsala, Mr. Mathias Blob - Program Manager also expressed his congratulations to all the new master and their family as well as the contributors to the program’s success. He believed that, with the knowledge acquired, the new masters are holding new roles in public management of Vietnam. Mr. Mathias Blob has welcomed the masters to Uppsala University alumni community. He hoped that the relationship between Vietnam - Sweden would flourish in the future.

Also at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Phung Xuan Nha and Dr. Pham Trung have delivered their speech to congratulate the graduates, staff and leaders of the two institutes, who have devoted a great effort to the development of the MPPM program.

On behalf of 12 new masters, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dzung has expressed her deep gratitude to the leaders, staff and lecturers of two universities.

The ceremony has closed in cheerful atmosphere, opening a new path to new masters who are holding important positions in ministries, authorities in different areas of Vietnam.
