Attending the signing ceremony, from the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, there were Mr. Vuong Bich Thang - General Director; Mr. Tran Duc Phan - Deputy Director General; representative leaders of Department of High-achievement Sports I, Department of High-achievement Sports II, Department of Personnel and Organization; along with 10 athletes who are currently training at Hanoi National Sports Training Center. On the side of the VNU University of Economics and Business, there was the participation of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, and heads of offices.

 

The signing ceremony, in addition to the presence of the 2 leaders, was also attended by 10 young athletes

Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in the development and organization of bachelor and master degree program in business administration for officials, athletes, former athletes, and sports talents who have achieved outstanding results at regional, continental and world sports festivals.

VNU University of Economics and Business is the unit that provides bachelor and master degree programs in business administration for athletes who are in the process of focusing on competition training in national teams.

The two parties will coordinate to develop criteria and conditions for direct recruitment of athletes and sports talents to the above-mentioned training programs, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and of the VNU.

 

Mr. Vuong Quoc Thang believed that the Business Administration Program for Sports Talents by VNU University of Economics and Business will achieve great success.

 

UEB's Rector - Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le affirmed: VNU University of Economics and Business was ready to receive the first athletes to study, and guaranteed the quality of learning output as well as the promotion of the professional strength on sport for learners

Athletes with outstanding achievements will be considered and evaluated on a case-by-case basis, at the same time, based on the balance of financial resources as well as grants (if any) to receive full or partial tuition exemptions. Details of this will be discussed, considered, and decided by both parties. This training program will contribute to providing the society and the sports sector with high-quality human resources, with wide and deep professional competence in the field of sports management, sports business, sports event and communication organization, scientific research methods, modern thinking, critical thinking; along with the spirit and skills of management, entrepreneurship, and foreign languages, as well as the adaptability to Vietnam's increasingly deep and broad international economic integration environment.

 

 

The sports talents after dedicating their youth to the country will be created favourable conditions to study Business Administration, continuing to further establish their own career and position in life

The cooperation between UEB and the General Department of Sports and Physical Education aims to promote strengths of each party, at the same time materialize the Government policy on incentives to the training and fostering of professional skills for talented athletes in order to help build and improve the quality of human resources in the physical training and sport sector through bachelor and master degree programs for athletes with outstanding achievements at regional, continental and world sports festivals towards long-term and sustainable development.

The signing ceremony will contribute to turning the dream of attending university of Vietnamese sports talents into a reality.
