This is one of many opinions given in the discussion on promoting student exchange at VNU University of Economics and Business on 6th December 2018.

The discussion was chaired by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector, and attended by heads, and deans of offices and faculties/school.
The fact that, some students are "afraid" of registering student exchange program abroad as the credit are not acknowledged and when they returned from the partner universities, the students have to retake the remaining subjects. This has created barriers, making the number of students reluctant to participate in exchange programs with foreign partners.

Facing this problem, the Rector of VNU University of Economics and Business - Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le said that it is necessary to further promote internal communication to the students so that they know how to choose the equivalent subjects so that credits can be acknowledged when they return, enabling students to graduate on time.

At the same time, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le also asked the faculties/school and students to further promote the the brand of UEB to foreign students learning at the UEB. It is estimated that every year, there are dozens of international students coming to the UEB for exchange and study, including undergraduate and graduate students from France, Japan, Germany, Poland, Sri Lanka ... creating a dynamic international environment at the University.

The discussion also received various comments from lecturers, deans and associate deans of the faculties on how to promote exchange activities as well as brand of the UEB to foreign students.

Ending the discussion, UEB’s Rector asked to record all the problems and recommendations from lecturers. This to be solved to create a dynamic and international learning environments for UEB’s students.
