Former U.S Trade Representative - Prof.Dr. Susan Schwab will lecture at the University of Economics and Business, VNU

On 10th December 2009, in Nikko Hotel (Hanoi), University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Link World Unlimited International Event Group were co-organized the press to introduce the event, in announcing that Prof.Dr. Susan Schwab - Former U.S Trade Representative and commercial policy-making speech at the United States to make speech in Vietnam.

Accepting the invitation of the University of Economics and Business - VNU and World Link Unlimited International Event Group, Former U.S Trade Representative Susan Schwab - commercial policy-making speech will be in Vietnam from 30th November to 3rd December. She is going to have a meeting and a working session with Vietnam’s Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials, President of Hochiminh City People's Committee, and have a seminar at Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University of Economics and Business - VNU (30th November 2009) as well as to preside over and give a lecture at two international workshops in Hanoi (1st December 2009) and Hochiminh City (3rd December 2009).

Prof.Dr. Susan Schwab’s speeches in Hanoi and Hochiminh City is throughout entitled "How to expand business inthe United States Market and other major markets for the Economic Groups and Vietnam exporters. How to import Vietnam products to the U.S. market without encountering a lawsuit and many trade barriers."

At the press conference, Ms. Anna Nguyen - CEO of Link World Unlimited International Event Group, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - Rector of the University of Economics and Business - VNU, and Mr. Le Quoc Thinh, Director of the Fund for Foreign Economic Relations - Ministry of Foreign Affairs answered in turn all questions of journalists around this event.

Mr. Le Quoc Thinh, Director of the Fund for Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed that this is an opportunity for Vietnam governmental organizations and exporting enterprises to approach and discuss about the market, to understand about the U.S. market and its policies from one of the leading experts, who has been being prestigious and influential in America. Especially, the visit is more meaningful in the context of crisis, some Governments and politicians tend to return to protectionism which brings Vietnam enterprises difficulties.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - Rector of the University of Economics and Business - VNU said that  the event of Prof.Dr. Susan Schwab come to Vietnam and have a lecture will help Vietnam understanding the strategic position of the United States on the issue of investment and bilateral trade with Vietnam that helps Vietnam enterprises community to capture the knowledge and valuable opportunity to reach the large U.S. market as well as developing more actively their brands to the world. He emphasized: "The College of Economics - VNU and World Link International Event Group have collaborated to invite Prof.Dr. Susan Schwab to Vietnam and making speechs at the University of Economics and Business, after the meeting with Prof. Tom Cannon, is a new step of the school on the way to become the destination of the world's knowledge…”

Prof.Dr. Susan Schwab has held the post of the United States Trade Representative - USTR (2006-2009), cabinet member of Former U.S. President George W. Bush, senior advisor, negotiator, spokeswoman of International Trade and related issues of the President. She is a negotiator who signed the free trade agreements with the countries as follows: Peru, Colombia, Panama, South Korea, and she is also the monitor of negotiating WTO accession process of Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Ukraine and U.S. - Russia bilateral negotiations about Russia’s WTO accession.
