The ceremony had the attendance of Mr Pulkit Abrol, Regional Director in Asia and the Pacific of ACCA, Dr Tran Kham Lam – Vice President and General Secretary of VACPA. On the side of the University of Economics and Business - VNU, there was Assoc. Dr Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Dr Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy - Dean and Dr Nguyen Thi Huong Lien - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, Dr Nguyen Duc Lam - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development together with lecturers of the University.

 

The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the University of Economics and Business – VNU and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) expanding the cooperation in specialized training in Accounting and Auditing for students and lecturers

 

ACCA cooperates with the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants to support UEB in proposing and implementing initiatives to improve students' employability upon graduation; while strengthening the connection and sharing of expertise between academic education and professional education

Development cooperation brings opportunities for Vietnamese students

For many years, ACCA and VACPA have been collaborators, accompanying students of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing in particular, and UEB students in general. The main implementation activities for students are practical internship programs and sample audit practice. In addition, these two partners carry out student support programs such as scholarship policies, practical internship programs, etc. Not only provide development opportunities for students, ACCA and VACPA also intensive training courses to enhance the lecturers’ capability.

 

Dr Nguyen Thi Huong Lien - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing (in the middle) is a veteran member of ACCA for many years and also a lecturer who has inspired generations of students to love the Accounting - Auditing industry.

Continuing building close partnerships towards sustainable education goals

On the basis of the accomplished results and continuing to expand cooperation opportunities to a closer and more comprehensive level, the University of Economics and Business, ACCA and VACPA moved to sign a memorandum of understanding, setting a special milestone among the three parties.

Not only providing a quality training program, ACCA and VACPA will also support and guide UEB students in the registration procedure for enrolling students in the ACCA-VACPA Combined Certificate in Online Course. Prepare international financial statements in Vietnam (CertIFR).
