Recently, the Vietnam Socio-Economic Forum 2022, the nation's annual program with the theme "Strengthening the macroeconomic foundation, promoting recovery and sustainable development", attracted 450 participants onsite and about 600 lecturers, students from 6 institutes and universities joining online. The forum was organized with a plenary session of high-level talks and 2 thematic sessions, attracting great attention from the society and business community.
As a member of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, VNU, University of Economics and Business has made many important contributions to forums. At the Vietnam Socio-Economic Forum 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Secretary, President of the Board of Trustee and Policy Advisory Group of the University of Economics and Business - VNU opened the second discussion session with comments on the implementation of policies to support businesses under the program of socio-economic recovery and development. This is one of the content that is interested and appreciated by scientists, experts, policy makers and public opinion.
Vietnam's policies in the coming time need to ensure the rationality, multi-dimensional balance between economy, society and environment, between short term and long term.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truc Le, in the face of the rapidly changing, complicated and unpredictable world and regional situation, the COVID-19 pandemic is considered as a shock to test the endurance of the economy. In general and each enterprise in particular, businesses face many difficulties due to the stagnation of production and business activities, disruption of supply chains, a decrease in purchasing power from customers due to both individual and private customers. Institutional customers are tightening their spending. Mechanisms and policies to support groups of businesses in recovering production and business after the pandemic have been continuously and promptly implemented by the Party and State in recent times.
