Chu Vu Thanh - one of 18 best students of Troy University worldwide

On 20th July 2018, representatives from Troy University, US came to VNU University of Economics and Business to award certificate to Chu Vu Thanh - one of 18 best students of Troy University worldwide.

Attending the ceremony, there were Dr. Earl Ingram - Rector of Troy University; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of UEB-VNU. The ceremony also welcomed Thanh’s families and friends.

Among thousands of Troy’s students worldwide, Chu Vu Thanh has become one of the top 18 students with a high grade. Besides, in the Fall and Spring Semester, he won various scholarships.

Delivering the speech at the ceremony, Dr. Earl Ingram from Troy University congratulated student Chu Vu Thanh and UEB. He said: “Thanh’s achievement today proved his constant effort over the years. This achievement contributed not only to UEB-Troy joint program’s achievement but also to Troy University’s over the world, which demonstrates that Vietnamese students are as good as foreign students”.

 

Chu Vu Thanh also shared his felling at the ceremony. He felt so happy because his effort has been pay off. This is a very important milestone for Thanh to create more motivation and gain more achievement in the next semesters. Thanh said: “When studying in the joint program, I has chance to study in 100% English environment which is taught by highly qualified lecturers from both UEB and Troy University. It is the vital factor which contributes to my results today”.

 

From Thanh’s family, his father said: “I am overwhelmed with pride. His constant effort over the years has paid off. Especially, I would like to say thank you to all of UEB’s lecturers who always teach him with their all enthusiasm, encourage and follow up him in studying. Today is a real happy day for my family.”

 

After the ceremony,  representatives of two universities had a meeting in order to discuss more about some collaborative programs which will be deployed in school year 2018 - 2019. In this year, two parties will continue collaborating to offer the Business Administration program, as well as increasing the number of students and some student exchange programs.
