UEB delegation worked in Japan

UEB delegation during their working visit in Japan in January, 2012.
From 20th to 22nd January 2012, the delegation of VNU University of Economics and Business led by Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son have attended to the ASIAN core program, held at Meiji University, Japan.

Participating in the delegation was Assoc.Prof.PhD. Hoang Van Hai - Vice-Dean of Business Administration Faculty; Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh - Vice Director of Center for Business Administration Study - UEB.
To opening the workshop, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son has delivered a welcome speech, expressed the determination of UEB when joining research network of the universities of East Asia (Japan, Korea, China China, Mongolia) on the theme “Development of sustainable production and green development associated with environmental management.” Prof. Soemon Takakuwa (Nagoya University), Head of the research team “ASIAN core program”, has welcomed the UEB’s delegation to officially participate in the research network. He has announced that the annual meeting of ASIAN core program in 2012 will be held in Hanoi with the host of the VNU University of Economics and Business.
At the workshop, the UEB’s delegates have contributed two report, How Total Productive Maintenance can contribute to the environment management and Current environmental management in Vietnam: the case of Vedan. These are research topic which have been contributing to the development of sustainable production in Vietnam.
In addition, the UEB’s delegation have visited the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) and had a working session with representatives and leaders of many organizations of Japan such as GRIPS University, GRIPS Executive Board, Nagoya University, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, Science and Technology of Japan Science Promotion Society.

The working session between UEB Rector and leaders of GRIPS University, GRIPS Executive Board, Nagoya University, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, Science and Technology of Japan Science Promotion Society.

The visit has promoted the imange of VNU - UEB in “Land of the Rising Sun”, building the base for the overall cooperation among VNU University of Economics and Business and other universities in East Asia, especially Japanes universities.
