On October 21st, 2020, VNU University of Economics and Business had a talk with Cen Group to implement cooperation within the framework of a previously signed cooperative agreement.
On behalf of Cen Group, Mr. Pham Thanh Hung - Vice President, and Ms. Pham Thuy Linh - Training Director of Cen Group in charge of operating Cen Academy, joined the meeting; Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, together with Heads of offices.
At the beginning of the meeting, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le welcomed the delegation of Cen Group to the UEB for an exchange of ideas and discussion, particularly Mr. Pham Thanh Hung, who participated in the Kickoff Event of the start-up competition titled Business Challenges Season 5. Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le hoped that with the conversation, the two sides would be able to agree several contents and quickly get some activities off the ground as soon as possible.
On behalf of the Cen Group, Mr. Pham Thanh Hung expressed his pleasure as the school actively connected with businesses in training and improved the quality of graduates. “Graduates need not only a degree but also a career certificate so that they can get into business right away without retraining. The university should take students on internships to have real-world experience while still in school so that they get used to the working environment. Cen Group is willing to collaborate with UEB to organize intern and training programs for students”, shared his thoughts. In addition, in anytime soon, Cen Group will launch the Cen Academy and expect the university to join hands in training human resources with Cen Group.
Listening to the sharings of Mr. Pham Thanh Hung, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le would like to have some specific suggestions about the training program in UEB. The university, thereby, could increase the practicality of education and training, to get to know more about what skills students are lacking and what skills businesses require fresh graduates.
Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le also suggested that both two sides should work together to develop a key training scheme with work-related training and craft a distribution channel strategy for better outcomes. Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le also expected the coordination with the bank to establish the Student Loans Fund.
Last but not least, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu proposed that the two sides work together to offer master education in the real estate sector, which is now facing a shortage of high-quality human resources. Specially, the collaboration between such a top economic, managerial university like UEB and a reputable, brand-name corporation like Cen Group would be highly likely to succeed.
