The visit and work of Sydney University's student delegation at VNU-UEB

The partnership between Sydney University and UEB has lasted 11 years
On February 2nd 2020, University of Economics and Business (UEB) - VNU hosted 16 students and 2 lecturers from Sydney University (Australia) to visit and work within the framework of program "Scaling social enterprises in Vietnam 2020" starting from February 2nd to February 14th 2020.

This is an annual cooperative activity between Sydney University and UEB in Vietnam. Students of Sydney University, with the support from School of Business Administration (SBA), UEB - VNU, will participate in research in order to come up with solutions for social enterprises to improve their business performance.

 After the meeting, students will take part in a field trip to some enterprises

Attending the program were Mr. Jared Harrison - Director of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Linh - University of Sydney's representative and 16 students from various majors of the University. On UEB's side, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector; Dr. Luu Thi Minh Ngoc - Head of Human Resource Management of SBA; MA. Nguyen Duc Lam - Deputy Head of Research and Partnership Development Office and many students from SBA attended at the meeting.

Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of UEB - VNU delivered an opening speech to welcome student delegation from Sydney University. This activity has set a strong foundation for the sustainable partnership between the 2 universities. Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu wished the delegation a lot of success in research and the cooperation of the two sides would continue to develop in the future.

The meeting also welcome the participation of organizations, social enterprises, Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP), NEU Center for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Thriive Investment Fund...

Questions and discussion session of students

After the meeting, students of UEB and Sydney University were assigned into 2 groups for a field trip to social enterprises. On February 14th, 2020, the research result on social enterprises will be presented.
