On 20th April 2018, VNU University of Economics and Business signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Nguyen Sieu School and Massey University of New Zealand. The ceremony was held at Nguyen Sieu School.
The ceremony honorly welcomed Mrs. Wendy Matthews - Ambassador of New Zealand in Vietnam, Mr. Ta Van Thong - Ambassador of Vietnam in New Zealand, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector of the UEB-VNU, Mr. Nguyen Trong Vinh - Board Chairman of Nguyen Sieu School, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy - Head Master of Nguyen Sieu School together with Nguyen Sieu’s teachers and students, who plan to come to New Zealand for learning, experience and exchanging.
Following the memorandum of understanding between Nguyen Sieu School and Massey University, Nguyen Sieu School will soon implement the first and only international undergraduate program of New Zealand in Vietnam this year.

It also gives more opportunities for inter-college students after graduation and chances to approach advanced international education.

This is the first time VNU University of Economics and Business has officially cooperated with high school institutions, especially a dynamic education institution with many innovations in education system such as: Cambridge International English program and Cambridge International Academic Bilingual program with 10.000 schools over 160 countries etc. This cooperation promised to improve educational quality of both schools through many activities like: New Zealand Undergraduate program, Students career consulting, International exchange etc.
The cooperation will benefit Nguyen Sieu students as they can get access to an international and advanced learning environment from New Zealand. Massey University is known as one of three biggest university in New Zealand, ranked among top 5% Advanced Business School by AACSB and top 500 biggest and most prestigious universities in the world by Shanghai Transportation University. Moreover, Massey University has 3 big campuses at Wellington, Auckland and Palmerton for students to join.
In his speech at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector of UEB said that this is the first time the UEB has taken part in this type of cooperation model. The MOU will be the first step in advancing the partnership between the UEB, Massey University and Nguyen Sieu School in the future. And with this strong relationship, more and more Vietnamese students will have opportunities to get access to New Zealand advanced education.

For this remarkable event, Massey University granted 10 High Achiever Scholarships for Nguyen Sieu’s excellent students joining Massey Undergraduate program in 2018. As part of this cooperation, Nguyen Sieu students have chances to be consulted, get advice from UEB’s students and lecturers; join extracurricular activities with UEB’s students and exchange students; be supported by UEB’s lecturers in international competitions and applying for scholarship. With UEB’s international networking, UEB is a perfect destination for students to experience international learning environment and develop themselves for their future careers.

Nguyen Sieu students can choose to study as full-time students at VNU University of Economics and Business or take part in top-up programs, in which the students will spend 2 or 3 years studying at the UEB and the last years at Massey University or spend 4 years in New Zealand to study at Massey University after finishing undergraduate program at VNU University of Economics and Business or Nguyen Sieu School.
Not only Nguyen Sieu students benefit from this cooperation, UEB’s students also have chances to take part in exchange program with Massey University in New Zealand and be granted scholarship from Massey every year. Besides, teachers and lecturers from 3 sides will have opportunities to develop their teaching techniques and specialized knowledge through annual international conferences, seminars.
