UEB and Lincoln University signed the MOU

On 16th August 2017, the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between VNU University of Economics and Business and Lincoln University (UK) was held at SunWah Building, 144 Xuan Thuy Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.

Attending the ceremony, from Lincoln University, there were Prof. David Charles - Deputy Head of the Business School, Ms. Siobhan Goggin - Head of the Division of Accountancy and Finance, Dr. Quach Manh Hao - Senior Lecturer. From the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Vice Rector in charge, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Dean of Faculty of Finance and Banking.

To reach this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the UEB and Lincoln University have made the first steps and cooperation since 2016, when Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu came to Lincoln University to work in the coordinated research on green banking.

Both universities are strong in research and are aiming to enhance the application of training, so the two sides have found many common activities for bilateral cooperation. Specifically, the UEB and Lincoln University will cooperate in research on green finance and finance for startup. On training, Lincoln University will support the development of the high quality bachelor program on Finance and the master program on financial institution management. Lincoln University will send experts to participate as visiting lecturers and speakers for the program.

The two sides will also exchange students in the form of summer courses at both universities as well as internship at the world's leading financial center in London. These cooperative activities will contribute to the training objectives of the Faculty of Finance and Banking - to create the best added value for learners.

MOU signing ceremony promises long-term development cooperation between the UEB and Lincoln University. This is also a great activity to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of UEB - VNU. Right after the MOU signing ceremony was the international conference "Financing for Innovation, Start-up and Renewable Energy" - the first joint activity undertaken by the two parties. The conference attracted great attention from Vietnamese and international scientists and financial experts.
