On 23 January 2014, the UEB University of Economics and Economics has handed over the project product of reviewing and building 2014 business plan to Vietnam Air Petrol Company Ltd, (Vinapco). This marked the first time that the university offered consultancy service a major business.
Attending the handover ceremony there were UEB Rector cum Head of consultancy team and Project Manager Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Hong Son, UEB Vice Rector Dr. Nguyen Truc Le and members of the consultancy team. As from VINAPCO, there were Mr. Duong Tri Thanh - Chairman of the Board of members, and other leaders of the company’s departments.
Consultancy contract between the UEB and Vinapco was signed on 16 December 2013, under which the UEB offered advises Vinapco on the review and business plan in 2014 in terms of (1) reviewing the designing, implementation and evaluation the business plan of the company, (2) reviewing and supporting the company to complete the 2014 business plan and (3) management information system (MIS).
Within one month, the advisory team of 12 experts has assessed the operation status of the Vinapco on: processes, regulations and reporting framework of annual business plan, the supply chain model, organizational model, functions and responsibilities; business results over years, data system and management information system at the company.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, UEB Rector cum Project Director Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Hong Son emphasized “The consultancy product handed over today is resulted from knowledge and practical experience of the advisory team members. The UEB always stands ready to support the Vinapco in the future.”
The Rector also said the university was willing to continue cooperating, supporting Vinapco in developing and implementing five-years strategies from 2014 to 2018, contributing to the sustainable development of the company, meeting the requirements of increasing competitive environment of the present open market.

Evaluating the advisory results by the UEB team, Mr. Hoang Manh Tuan - General Director of Vinapco said the company appreciated the enthusiasm of the team, which has met the deadline of the project within only one month. The company also satisfied with the service quality and suggestions offered by the advisory team, many of which clarified the issues that the company concerned. The Vinapco expected the two sides would continue to effectively cooperate in coming stages to develop and apply advisory results.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Vinapco members - Mr. Duong Tri Thanh appreciated the cooperation between the UEB and Vinapco in implementing the project due to schedule. Mr. Duong Tri Thanh also said the cooperation between two sides represented a new direction for the businesses and the training institutes in cooperation to bilateral development.
The ceremony took place in an open atmosphere between the two sides, ending with the common agreement of holding further activities.
