Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son and Dr. Nguyen Duc Thanh transfer the research outcome to Central Theoretical Council
On 12th December 2011, VNU - UEB leader has had a worksing session at Central Theoretical Council to transfer the research outcome of Vietnam Annual Economic Report 2011 of the university as assigned by the Council.
Attending to the working session was Prof.PhD. Phung Huu Phu - Permanent Vice President, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Viet Thon - General Secretary of the Council and other permanent members, officials of Central Theoretical Council.
Represented VNU University of Economics and Business, there are Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector, Dr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Director of Vietnam Center for Economic & Policy Research - Author in Chief of the Vietnam Annual Economic Report and leaders of other UEB faculties and research centers.
At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son has summarized the research missions and goals of VNU - UEB. He emphasized some spotlights since UEB’s establishment in 2007, as well as transferred the Vietnam Annual Economic Report 2011: The Economy at a Crossroad, which has been published in Vietnamese and English and other state-level researches in 2010, 2011.
Prof.PhD. Phung Huu Phu has highly appreciated the achievements that UEB staff and students have gained for the last period. Despite of newly establishment, VNU University of Economics and Business has been recognized in academic and research activities, which received several research prizes, contributing to improve training quality of the university and promote the socio-economic development.
Regarding Vietnam Annual Economic Report, Prof.PhD. Phung Huu Phu believed this is a precious publication for the Council in giving advice to the Communist Party’s Central Committee, Political Bureau, and Secretariat Committee on political and theoretical issues related economic field.
In his congratulations to VNU - UEB, Prof.PhD. Phung Huu Phu hoped that the university would have more outstanding progress, soon become a research university as its direction.

Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Viet Thong also highly appreciated the coordination of the university in implementing researches, reports at national workshops. He hoped that the relation between the Central Theoretical Council and the University of Economics and Business would be blooming.
"Vietnam Annual Economic Report 2011: The Economy at a Crossroad" together with other publications of the UEB have proved the enthusiasm and activeness of UEB staffs and students in research. This is the second time when the research outcomes of UEB are transferred to the Central Theoretical Council.
