Training course on improving capacity for key personnel of PV Power

Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Vice Rector of the UEB delivered the opening speech at the course
Within the framework of training cooperation with the PetroVietnam Power Cooperation (PV Power), on 30th November 2015, the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) in collaboration with the Center for Power Market Development Research and Training, Department of Electricity Regulation organized the training course on improving capacity for key managers and staff of the PV Power.



The course aims at improving operational efficiency of PV Power and providing updated information about the international economic integration for personnel of the Corporation. Attending the ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Vice Rector of the UEB, Dr. Le Dang Doanh - Former Director of the Central Institute for Economic Management, Mr. Ho Cong Ky - Chairman of the Board of Directors of PV Power together with participants of the training course.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Truc Le expressed the pleasure to have chance to work with PV Power and Department of Electricity Regulation in implementing this course. The University is committed to providing updated information and knowledge to better capacity of personnel of PV Power during the period of international economic integration.

The course will last for 6 days, from 30th November to 5th December 2015 at the Center for Training and Information of Vietnam Petroleum Institute. The course is divided into two parts: Part I - Thematic training on "Improving the performance of corporate governance" undertaken by the UEB; Part II - Training on electricity market undertaken by the Center for Power Market Development Research and Training, Department of Electricity Regulation.

Part I on "Improving the performance of corporate governance" will be taught by senior lecturers and experts of the UEB, including Dr. Le Dang Doanh, Dr. Nguyen Truc Le, MA. Doan Huu Canh etc. The course will introduce to its participants updated information of critical issues, such as: effect of oil price movements to the world economy and Vietnam, government action, PVN and electricity sector, governance of business performance and processes, financial analysis - profit and cost in business etc.
