On 17 July 2012, VNU President has approved the Decision 2335/QD-KHCN in awarding the title of outstanding research in 2011 for 4 projects, in which there is a project implemented by VNU University of Economics and Business staff.
The project entitled “Scientific Argument for the Development of Service Industries of Vietnam in 2020” implemented by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son (UEB Rector) and a research team of VNU University of Economics and Business. This is the second project by the UEB has gained the award.
The three other research projects awarded are:
1. Project: “Power in International Relations: History and Issues" by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Khac Nam, VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
2. Project: “Acts of Aggression - An Analysis from the Perspective of Social Psychology” by Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Minh Duc, VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
3. Project: “The Risk of Increasing Arsenic Contamination in Groundwater in Vietnam due to the Exploitation of Deep Groundwater for more than a Century” by an authors group including Dr. Lenny H.E Winkel, Dr. Pham Thi Kim Trang, MSc. Vi Mai Lan, Caroline Stengel, Dr. Manouchehr Amini, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ha, Prof.Dr. Pham Hung Viet, Dr. Michael Berg, VNU University of Natural Sciences.
