UEB’s student research group won the second prize of VNU student research competition

The research project of the student group from Faculty of Development Economics, UEB is one of the twenty best research projects presented at the VNU student research competition and received the second prize.


The research project "Application of Binary Logistic Regression and Bayesian Belief Networks (BBNs) to assess the factors affecting multidimensional poverty of households in Hoa Binh province" conducted by the student group Luong Thi Khanh Ly, Vu Minh Hoang, Dao Duy Tan (Class QH-2018-E-KTPT 2) under the supervision of Assoc.Prof.PhD. Le Dinh Hai has been highly appreciated by the Council of Review of the VNU’s student research competition. The project won the second prize in the competition.

 

Duy Tan, a member of the group said “While conducting the project, we had visited many places in Dai Bac commune, Kim Boi district in Hoa Binh. We have gone through many difficult roads in the mountainous terrain of the locality to collect data for the project. There were times when we returned home and sighed with relief after a long journey of dangerous terrain.

 

Previously, the research topic of the students from the Faculty of Development Economics also won the first prize at the Student Research Competition at VNU University of Economics and Business in the academic year 2020-2021. The students were also honored to receive a scholarship of USD 500 from Laval University (Quebec, Canada) in 2021.
