UEB Gala 2012

The performance by Group 2
As usual, on 17th January 2012, the Labor Union of VNU University of Economics and Business has organized Gala to greet the New Year 2012 and Lunar New Year of Dragon.


To start with, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son - UEB Rector has expressed his wishes to the whole UEB staff for the New Year of Dragon. He emphasized that Gala UEB is the uniqueness of the VNU University of Economics and Business, at where its staff can express their performing ability. The event has been connecting all individuals of the university, strengthening the union’s activity and the cultural beauty of the university.

The UEB Gala 2012 is the opportunity for all groups of UEB Labor Union to express their “internal power” by their performances. The program is a competition of 20 performances comprising reciting, singing, acting... by UEB staff, from its offices, faculties and centers.


Assoc.Prof.PhD. Ha Van Hoi recites his meaningful poem.

Coincidentally, the songs performed this year are about the theme of spring with cheerful or passionate melody such as Mùa xuân đầu tiên, Lời tỏ tình của mùa xuân, Khúc xuân… which have filled the hall with the atmosphere of Tet.


The comedy by Group 2 (Office of Academic Affairs and Center for Student Services) brings to the Gala with warm and funny laughters.

Eagerness of the audiences is also an element of the success of the program.

Eventually, Group 2 of UEB Labor Union has persuasively won the first prize; The second prize has gone to Center for International Training and Education and the third prize has gone to Faculty of International Business and Economics.

Assoc.Prof.Nguyen Xuan Thien - Head of UEB Labor Union talks to close the Gala 2012

 To close the Gala, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Xuan Thien - Head of UEB Labor Union has expressed his gratitude to the UEB Management Board for their support the spiritual interest of UEB staff, facilitating the useful cultural activities. He also appreciated the participation of retired and concurrent staff, lecturers and congratulated the success of UEB Gala 2012.

The event has left a beautiful echo among participants. It is the joy, the eagerness of both performers and audiences, as well as the cheerful laughters after the stressful weekdays; the warm handshakes between colleagues before the Tet holiday.
