On 27 November 2009, at 19 Le Thanh Tong (Hanoi), VNU held a conferring ceremony for 27 new doctors, among whom there was one doctor of University of Economics and Business: Nguyen Huu So, Lecturer of Faculty of Political Economics. This was the second granting ceremony in 2009 of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Attending to the ceremony were Mr. Thavone Oudomsinh - Second Secretary of Lao People's Democratic Republic Embassy in Hanoi, Prof.Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan - President of VNU, Prof.Dr.Sc. Vu Minh Giang - Vice President of VNU, Prof.Dr.Sc. Nguyen Huu Cong - Dean of School of Graduate Studies, representatives from training units and the whole new doctors and guests.
On behalf of VNU’s Board, Prof.Dr.Sc. Nguyen Huu Cong announced the resolution recognizing academic distinction and doctor degree conferring for 27 graduates, among whom there were 3 foreign graduates. Prof.Dr.Sc. Nguyen Huu Cong warmly congratulated the graduates and stated that this was the pinnacle of their learning, opening new prospect of knowledge.
Following the solemn ceremonial of conferring doctor degree, Prof.Dr.Sc. Vu Minh Giang addressed to appreciate new doctors’ effort and the support of training units.
Represented for new doctors, the youngest doctor (28 years old) Nguyen Ngoc Luu Ly emotionally expressed her deep gratitude to VNU’s Board, training units as well as family for their support, guiding and sharing on the way of knowledge aquirement.
The ceremony marked a new success in new doctors’ learning, this was the pride of VNU, training units as well as of families; especially it compromised positive contributions to the training, researching of the country.
