Information Day for the Master’s Program in Economic Expertise and International Project Management

On 17th July 2009, The University of Economics and Business - VNU cooperated with The PUF (Pôles Universitaires Français) Hanoi to organize an Information Day for The Master’s Program in Economic Expertise and International Project Management between the UEB - VNU and Paris 12 University.


Guest attendees were Dr. Patricia Pol - Vice President of Paris 12 University, and Dr. Nguyen Huu Hai - Director of the PUF Hanoi. Representing the UEB were leaders from the Faculty of International Business and Economics, The Scientific Research and Cooperation & Development Department as well as nearly 100 delegates.

The Master’s program in Economic Expertise and International Project Management between the UEB and Paris 12 University has been more and more highly appreciated for its quality and prestige after its program implementing in July 2006 and three successful courses. The target of the program is training Master’s degree candidates with high quality in both English and economic expertise and international project management. The program is also to offer conditions for students to study in Vietnam at affordable fees and to receive degrees from a French university that has been accredited for its high quality.

During the Information Day, Dr. Patricia Pol - Vice President of Paris 12 University, lecturer of the program, introduced the program framework, subjects to be taught in Vietnam, and in France as well as at other institutions in the world. She emphasized: “With the prestige and experiences in joint training, we ensure to provide postgraduates with modern knowledge just like the program in Paris 12 University and other institutions in the world. Postgraduates will receive the Master’s degree from Paris 12 University upon graduation. In order to ensure the quality and to maintain the school prestige, entrance and exiting qualification requirements as well as English proficiency should be quite strict”.

Delegates were later listening to the introduction of the operating model and the role of the PUF in the joint training project presented by Mr. Delord Julien, coordinator of the PUF.

Subsequently, on behalf of the UEB, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh, M.A. introduced the history, strategic development of the UEB and she affirmed “With our professional development, we have proven being a credible partner with The Paris 12 University and The PUF in this joint training project…”

The Information Day was an opportunity for delegates and students to meet one another, to discuss, and to answer questions regarding to the program contents and also to carefully sort out any related issues before enrolling for the course. Most of the delegates expressed their confidence in the successful cooperation of the two sides as well as the quality of the program.
