6 UEB’s students received Golden Bridge Scholarship

On 26th November 2007, Han - Viet Foundation organized Scholarship Awarding Ceremony on the 2nd floor, Fortuna Hotel to award Golden Bridge Scholarship to 23 students. Each scholarship is 250USD. Out of 23 students awarded scholarship, there are 6 students of University of Economics and Business - VNU, 5 students of Faculty of Law - VNU, 6 students of Foreign Trade University and 6 students of National Economics University.


Attending were Mr. Paik Nak-Whan, Chairman of Han - Viet Foundation; Mr. Ly Sang Jun, Chief Executive of Golden Bridge Financial Group, the major donor; Dr. Le Dang Doanh, Former Director Of Central Institute for Economics Management; Mrs. Pham Chi Lan, Former Vice - Chairman of VCCI, Senior advisor to Prime Minister of Vietnam; representatives from Korean Embassy in Vietnam and 23 students awarded scholarships.

6 students of UEB were awarded scholarships as follow:

1. Hoang Thanh Binh, QH-2005-E, Honored Program

2. Ha Huong Giang, QH-2005-E, Finance - Banking

3. Pham Thi Thuy Trang, QH-2005-E, International Economics

4. Tran Thi Thu Trang, QH-2005-E, Finance - Banking

5. Le Thi Tu Oanh, QH-2005-E, International Economics

6. Dam Thi Bich Phuong, QH-2005-E, Business Administration

This was the first time Han - Viet Foundation awarded scholarship for students since its establishment in July. 2007. After carefully selected, Han - Viet Foundation decided to award scholarships for 23 students of some universities in Hanoi with the aims of motivating, encouraging and generating impetus for students to study better.

Mr. Ly Sang Jun congratulated 23 students and wished they would continue to achieve better results in studying. Dr. Le Dang Doanh also sent his congratulations to all 23 students. He even expressed his thanks to the Golden Bridge Financial Group and Han - Viet Foundation who have taken much concern and assistance to Vietnamese students.

On behalf of all students, each student of 4 universities made a speech to express their gratitude to the donor, the organization and promised to try their best in studying.
